In brief

What works, what to weigh

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • A minute from Roma Termini — Guests repeatedly highlight the location: Termini is about a one-minute walk away, with trains, buses and the metro on hand. Piazza della Repubblica is close by and the Roman Forum is a 25-minute walk.
  • Friendly, helpful staff — Staff score 8.3 in guest ratings, and reviews describe a welcoming, pleasant team. One guest noted that the team's imperfect English added to the hotel's charm.
  • Clean, basic rooms — The 37 rooms are simple, with air conditioning and heating; some have balconies or terraces. Several reviews describe the rooms as clean and sufficient, and one mentions views over Rome's rooftops.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Facilities and comfort are modest — Comfort and Facilities both rate 6.4. Reviews describe the rooms as basic or dated, and one guest reported dirt and equipment that wasn't working; another compared the decor unfavourably with UK budget chains.
  • Value for money is only average — Value scores 6.6, and one review puts it simply: you get what you pay for. The price may be low for Rome, but the overall package is no more than a budget two-star.
  • Ensuite bathroom not guaranteed — A guest advises booking a room with an ensuite if you want one, which suggests some rooms may have shared facilities. All listed room types include a shower, so it's worth checking when booking.
  • Pets not allowed and no late check-in — Pets are not permitted, and check-in runs from 14:00 to 23:59, so arrivals after midnight aren't possible.

“Breakfast was the highlight, with delicious pistachio croissants. The team were extremely nice, and being just a minute from Termini made the location perfect for exploring.”

“It was dirty and most of the equipment wasn't working properly.”

“Rome is an expensive capital, so you get what you pay for. For the money, this clean, friendly hotel is good, especially as it's a one-minute walk to the train, bus and metro station, which makes an ideal sightseeing base. Compared with Premier Inn or Travelodge it looks a little dated, but again, you get what you pay for. Make sure you book a room with an ensuite if you want one.”

7.1Verified guest

“My queen room was outstanding and had the basic facilities I needed. The location put me next to the centre of Rome at a reasonable price, with buses nearby and the Colosseum and ancient Roman ruins close by. It was next door to the Huaweiju Restaurant, which was handy for lunch.”

7.1Verified guest

“Great location near restaurants and the centre of Rome at a reasonable price. The rooms were exceptionally nice, with a double bed, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming to everyone.”

7.1Verified guest

“The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The room was basic but clean and had everything I could want. I had a balcony with wonderful views over Rome's rooftops, including sunrises and sunsets. I'd read negative reviews before staying, and they didn't match my experience at all.”
